Newtown Hockey Club is pleased to announce a new mid-week junior hockey program, and invites any interested players to join us.
This program will run during the traditional winter season, to provide an alternative game time for boys and girls who are committed to other sports or leisure activities on Saturday mornings.
Games will be played at Lloyd Reserve, Newtown, from 4.30 to 5.30 pm on Tuesdays. The program will run for 10 weeks, commencing on July 14, and finishing on September 15. The program is suitable for boys and girls aged 8 to 12.
Total cost of participation is $50 for the 10 week program, which includes:
- Registration with Hockey Victoria (HV Junior Intra-club Registration), which provides Personal Accident Insurance cover – $35
- Club fee – $15
The purchase of club uniform is optional. Each player will need to provide their own hockey stick, shinguards, and mouthguard. Equipment packages (stick, ball, shinguards) can also be purchased from the Club.

This is the second alternative program Newtown City Hockey Club is able to offer concurrently with the regular winter hockey season. The Saturday Social program offers a fun and commitment-free opportunity for individuals to play hockey, regardless of age, ability, or experience.
