The 2015 Annual General Meeting of the Newtown City Hockey will be held at 7.30 pm on Thursday November 19, at Stead Park, Corio.
All members are invited to attend. Share the triumphs and highlights of the year, and give us your comments and suggestions to make 2016 even better.
The Annual Report will be presented to the members, and elections will be conducted for positions on the Committee for 2016.
The Annual General Meeting Agenda will also include a proposal to adopt Revised By-Laws for the Club.
Members are invited to submit a Nomination for Office or even just an offer of occasional help. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please forward a Proxy Voting Form prior to the meeting.
The evening will also feature a short presentation from our two of our starring members:
- Grant Van der Ploeg – recently returned from touring as the Performance Analyst for the Burras, Australia’s U21 Men’s Hockey team
- Deb Barnett – recently inducted to the University of Alberta, Canada, Sports Wall of Fame
A light supper will be served, giving us a chance to mingle and ask Deb and Grant more about their experiences.
The Annual Meeting will be followed by a General Meeting, at which the Draft Strategic Plan 2015-18 for the Club will be reviewed. All comments and suggestions from members will be greatly appreciated.
