The regular sausage sizzle is a feature of junior hockey at Lloyd Reserve each Saturday morning during the cold winter months. The smell is enticing, and a hot sausage after a cold game is a treat.
The BBQ gets a real workout throughout the season, cooking up to 120 sausages and hamburgers each week. And then there’s the end of season presentation BBQ for the Joeys, Minkey and U11 teams, where over 200 people are served with freshly cooked food.
So the BBQs need to be replaced more regularly than the average home BBQ. Thanks to Liz Keck and Bunnings Warehouse at Waurn Ponds, the Club is now the proud owner of a sparkling new 4 burner BBQ, which will enable us to keep serving our members for years to come.
