Responsible Service of Alcohol Course

Hockey Geelong and Leisure Networks are collaborating once again to run a Responsible Service of Alcohol course for members.

RSA certification is required to serve any alcohol at Club functions and in the hospitality industry.

The course will be held at Stead Park on Monday June 24, at 6 pm. As a Good Sports Accredited Club the cost to members is only $40 per person – a discount of 20%!

A great opportunity at a very reasonable cost. To register your place, download and return your completed registration form to Lynette Williams by Friday June 21.

Newtown City Hockey Club is selling Entertainment Books again this season.  Help us raise money to support our members who are selected in Zone and State representative teams.  In the 2012 season, the club offered subsidies for 16 members who were selected in higher teams.  We encourage all members to be their best and aim high, but participation in these higher graded teams comes with extra costs.  The Club is happy to support our members in their endeavours.

100 years of hockey in Geelong

2013 marks the 100th year since hockey began in Geelong. The celebrations kick off on Saturday March 23 at Stead Park, with the annual competition for the Tout Cup, played between Hockey Geelong and Werribee Hockey Club. The Tout Cup is named in honour of Lyn Tout (formerly Chapman) who is a Life Member of both organisations. The day features a full day of matches, beginning at 9.30 am.
It should be a great day to watch some great hockey.
